| Started Clear tonight I just started Clear service tonight in a western suburb of Portland. The signal has been alternating between 3 and 4 out of 5 bars on the modem. I signed up for the 3Mbps service and so far, it has been going up on the speed tests but is still not what it is supposed to be. Fios is not currently available in my neighborhood although it is around the corner. Comcast is doubling their speed this month to 12Mbps although I am not sure if it has already happened.
The Clear modem signal actually goes down if I put it by the window (as recommended) and goes up in the middle of the room. It will be interesting to see how reliable the service is as time goes on. |
