kudos:4 | [XP Pro] MSXML6 SP2? I can't find a download of MSXML6 SP2. I don't want to install SP 3 for XP Pro. Is that the only way to get it or are my search skills bad? I only find four entries at Microsoft Download Center search for "msxml6 sp2" and I have all four of those (two security patches, msxml6 and msxml6 SP1).

kudos:4 | I have SP1. There supposedly is an SP2. All who have XP SP3 have it. I don't want XP Service Pack 3 but I do want MSXML6 SP2.
Why would Microsoft make it available only to those installing XP SP3?

Re: [XP Pro] MSXML6 SP2? Actually, I've checked out that KB954459 MSXML6 download package and the msxml6.dll file included is version 6.20.1099.0 AND if you view its Version properties of that file, the description says "MSXML 6.0 SP2". So, if you install the MSXML6 KB954459 update, you already have XML 6.0 SP2 (see attached picture to prove my point)
In other words, the XML Core Services 6.0 KB954459 security update is "mis-labeled", sort of. |

kudos:4 | Yes, that is what I wanted but it not clear that is SP2. I did not have KB954459 but I do now. I also updated MSXML4 and MSXML3. |
