Nothing new in Philly power brokering

Philadelphia has it's share of under-the-table dealings, as does any other large city. This is nothing new. If they bugged the offices of Phila. city council members, a good portion of them would be sitting right next to the governor of Illinois, in jail. Until the right palms are greased, this is going to be stalled, to the detriment of Philly residents.

You ought to hear some of Comcrap's latest anti-FiOS "FUD" ads on radio, "dissing" FiOS's HD content, citing those weird VOD titles like "How to Boil Water", which aren't in HD anyway.

To boot, I got, count 'em, four (4) Comcrap ads in yesterday's mail, each one offering a different package with "Free" HD - what a bunch of BS!

This thing is as bad as a political campaign around here...

Not so. Philadelphia politicians are much cannier about not getting caught. The previous mayor even turned a Federal investigation into a landslide re-election -- he found the bug.
