[Serious] A Plea for help

A close friend of mine has today learnt, that her estranged husband has been prematurely deported back to the Lebanon, whilst awaiting trial on child abduction charges.

Full background available here: »www.lightdelta.co.uk/AliNews.htm

This isn't a joke, it is not a scam. I am supporting the above web pages and the lady in question. She hasn't seen her daughter since the infant was barely a year old and is unable to physically go to the Lebanon owing to 'local law's' in that land - it is complicated - please don't ask!

Re: [Serious] A Plea for help

Sorry to hear that, but she is not the first nor the last. May she be reunited someday, but not much she can do other than taking matters beyond court.

My niece married a Syrian, great guy, I don't see it happening with him.
British law means nothing there, unless they join the EU someday.

Sorry to hear about her problems, but this is one of the pitfalls of a multi-cultural Britain.

Re: [Serious] A Plea for help

So you're blaming the woman for marrying a foreigner?

If that's not your point, then I don't follow it at all. The only place where foreignness comes into it was that the former husband had somewhere outside of British jurisdiction to flee to with the child, and somewhere to get deported to (which latter point I would guess makes him 'not a British citizen').
