My niece married a Syrian, great guy, I don't see it happening with him.

If that's not your point, then I don't follow it at all. The only place where foreignness comes into it was that the former husband had somewhere outside of British jurisdiction to flee to with the child, and somewhere to get deported to (which latter point I would guess makes him 'not a British citizen'). | |
