fhurst : Line went down on Sunday evening around 5pm.

A call to support got a broadcast message that it should be back up in an hour and to re-cycle modem. I kept trying until 2:00am and talked to tech support a couple times. No ETA.

Finally came back at 5:00am on Monday - but I now seem to lose connection about 30-60 minutes after each reboot.

Loopback works fine. Get WAN IP on each reboot - can't ping my modem from external as soon as the connection is lost.

Anyone else still having problems, and anyone know what is going on?

Fritz Hurst

UPDATE:
11:22am - just talked to tech support (for the umteenth time). He said they are "working on the back-hoe". I said "You mean the back-haul - spelled h-a-u-l?" He said - "no the back-hoe spelled h-o-e".

I envision a bunch of techs sitting on a Caterpiller digging up cables somewhere between Chicago and who knows where.

He said it is supposed to be fixed by "earlier today". I said early today? He said, yeah - I think that is right.

I'm not holding my breath as that is what they said on Sunday evening...
