Qwest has a good backbone (not that ATT or VZ need that), but they have a considerable long distance business and the bigger cities in the west. Regulators I doubt would approve a sale to ATT, based on anti-competitive issues. So, VZ would seem to be the logical suitor, if they have any cash left in the coffers. |

| You have some valid points, but, would VZ want them on a buyer take all. Some of their local service areas would be terrible to maintain, as I said, miles and miles from point A to point B. You might interest a buyer in the long distance business and taking some of the bigger cities, but the rural areas of Wyoming, etc., would not really be profitable. |
