Re: Comcast is bad for America.

So is Verizon. And AT&T. And Microsoft. And Google... but what is worse is the lack of accountability and the non-oversight our "gubberment" has to allow mortgage crisis, banking, automotive bailouts. Atleast with Comcrapstick, you could call up, be polite and cry a bit. They may cut you a break.

I suspect Comcast will cry "we are losing customers and need to be bailed out!" along with everyone else.

Hey, Verizon's Billing is bad for America too!

Why is Microsoft and Google bad in this context?

I suspect Comcast will cry "we are losing customers and need to be bailed out!" along with everyone else.
Ehhhh. They are in serious-ish debt but Comcast has actually shown a capability to handle that debt, unlike most of it Telecom buddies. Still, it would be a huge hit to the economy if any of these companies walked away from it. The label "too big to fail" might apply, but they have a strong operating profit and make reasonable money after they pay their debt payments.

WTF is up with the piss-poor quality of most of Verizon's back-office systems? The network seems pretty good, but their customer-ordering, -billing, -support, systems cast a dark shadow on all of it.
