I don't think you understand their business model. They deliver IP encapsulated tv channels to a local telco. The local telo puts set top boxes in their customers homes and deliver channels to then via DSL, or other telco based delivery systems.
This was ver elegant for a telco as they don't need to buy much equipment in order to get up and running. My guess is that they wanted to be the third DBS provider and they just couldn't break into the market.
Even the dwindling C-Band home market still has more customers. |
