I've been very impressed overall. While some channels seem to have some pixelation during fast movement, they are the "secondary" type channels (Food Network, AMC, FX, Style, Bravo).

I could be crazy, but I don't think Comcast is using 3:1 compression on the locals (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX), major sports channels (ESPN, ESPN2, CSN, NESN), or primary movie channels (HDNet, HBO, Showtime...etc.)

I attached our new rates. It's not cheap, but probably not THAT much more than what most are paying. Basically $76 or so (for cable, excluding pay channels) + $15 for the 1st HD/DVR box.

I could probably save $15 a month with RCN cable (the other provider in Boston) but I've been very impressed with Comcast's offerings.

While we are very lucky in Boston, I would just point out that Comcast needed to add most of these channels to stay competitive with RCN, (another cable franchise in parts of Boston) which also already went all-digital.
