This list is excellent, and I thank you for the screenshots.

You've done well, and there are many titles to look forward to next year. Hopefully this economic nonsense will straighten itself out.

besides the console crap ive heard of like 5 of those...i'm a big gamer and have been since late 90s, but im not anticipating many good PC exclusive titles based on this list.

you got the big name blizzard games which will sell millions regardless of the quality. there's natural Selection, which may be extraordinary but not my type of game. everything else...i dont see one non-multi platform title that looks good enough to buy. Dawn of War 2 will probably be good though. like all the FPS games these days are mutli-platform and suffer from being consolized.

According to NPD, some of the top-selling game titles in November include "Gears of War 2," which sold 1.6 million copies, and "Call Of Duty: World At War," which sold 1.4 million. Nintendo's "Wii Play" and "Wii Fit" put up impressive numbers, as well.

NATURAL SELECTION 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ascension also looks promising. If it's a Tribes successor made by the guys that made the Renegade mod....then I trust it.

NPD only sees retail B&M store sales. this doesnt include online sales through non-retail stores.

it also doesnt include digital distribution sales like Steam, Direct2Drive, and EA's service. these services are having increases online sales almost every quarter and is one of the reasons these PC gaming is dead rumor started. PC games are still selling extremely well, but only if you look at all the number.

Yup, I don't even go to the store to pick up games anymore. I only picked up one this year, and that was the WoW expansion. The rest I bought online.

I personally can't wait for Drakensang... I'm a huge fan of pen and paper games turned PC, and I've heard this one is really good so far:

Graphics look pretty sweet too. Definitely an improvement over previous games of this type.

Nope, Darkfall wasn't listed.

Here it is, though.

Darkfall Online

Athens, Greece - December 5th, 2008 - Audio Visual Enterprises SA and Aventurine SA in a joint statement today announced that their highly anticipated MMORPG title Darkfall Online will launch across Europe on January 22nd, 2009. North American players are also welcome to participate in the European launch of Darkfall which will precede a North American launch. More details to be announced as they become available.
Where can we buy this game in the US?

PC gaming is dead indeed. Looks like there will be a pile of really good ones to pick from. Ahh mafia2, I just dusted off mafia the other day to play...I hope they keep with the music, how I hope. Nothing beat driving along and hearing Django Reinhardt(minor swing) pop on.
