Westell 6100 and WRT54g

I have always been pretty good at fixing my own problems but I cant seem to work this one out. I have a westell 6100 issued by Centurytel and a WRT-54g with the latest DD-WRT firmware.

I have tried to bridge the modem as I did with my bellsouth 6100 but something seems to not work. I am not sure why but I can not ever connect with my WRT54g via PPPoe. I have even tried leaving the WRT54 in Automatic rather than pppoe but that is not working either.

I know it has something to do with both of them having the same IP and/or both acting as routers. I have worked on this two days and am at a loss. I have tried most guides on how to bridge even though I have done it SEVERAL times with other services.

I am begining to think you can not truely make the Centurytel version of the 6100 into a MODEM only. If so someone PLEASE tell me where I am going wrong.

Thanks in advance!
