It's hard to tell how many HD channels i have available until they update the on-line channel listings. The last round of HD channels came out of the blue without any notice. They should also be adding NFLHD on or about the 4th of August. |

1 edit | reply to Cruisezone Of course, CBC-HD came out after the Stanley Cup. Oh well, thanks Comcast for all the new channels today. Get BBCAmerica-HD up as soon as possible. Weather Channel looks pretty cool in HD. Channel 705 is showing truTV-HD even though it's listed as to be announced and no channel description. |

517 - 681 inclusive, with the notable exception of FoxHD, all were "no signal" but TiVO description was appropriate. Fox HD was full on. 681-699 inclusive had accurate TiVO descriptions but no errormessage. Odd that the "Green Channel" described an "Emeril Cooking for the Military" though |

I am assuming if you live in these areas you have been notified by Comcast that these are coming, lol. I live in Renton/Newcastle area so i guess I will be summer or later before I see anything. Oh, by the way, I found this info in the Want ad section of the Seattle Times, not through Comcast. They must think everyone reads the paper! I got them here in Federal Way on the 13th of May,and i have to say it was worth waiting for.I hope the rest of you guys get them soon! |

| reply to gr0m1t Unfortunately that comcast person who you talked to was correct, in fact Seattle will be completely Last!! in fact here is a link to an article that was posted if you do not believe it!
»blog.seattletimes.nwsource.com/b···ate.html
looks like you may not get it to the End of the year, but it not surprising since the Washington State area started about 2 months later than the Oregon area and has about 2 more zones than Oregon does, in fact i think Oregon only has 1 zone left, from the information that i read from their thread, and then comcast will focus more on California, so that the West coast be done by 2009, with comcast focusing on east coast in 2010!!
I personally don't like comcast cherry-picking but it's their cable system so they call all the shots. |

| reply to kinglou0 Anyone in Seattle seeing the new channels yet? I was under the impression that we should be seeing them soon, but I just called Comcast and according to the CSR that I talked to (I know, not the most reliable source) we in certain areas of Seattle (I'm in West Seattle) may not see these new HD channels until November or December! She claimed the reason is because a while back, when lines were upgraded, Seattle area was first, and therefore now has older lines than the surrounding areas that will need upgrading before the HD channels can be added.
I really hope this is just another case of the Comcast support people providing the wrong information. |

| reply to synapse said by synapse :"guess i'll keep waiting because i'm not getting 50meg FIOS out in this area anytime soon. Thanks Comcast!" Comcast has 50 Meg HSI and it is cheaper than FiOS... i have the 50mb service but with fios i could have a higher upload speed and have a much more reliable connection. i never hear about overloaded nodes or speed being affected by weather with fios. |

| reply to Cruisezone The best bet is, if you get the Seattle Times newspaper to check the announcement ad section once in awhile. That is the ONLY place I have ever gotten any info on channel updates, HD additions, etc...and I live on Lake Washington in Renton. I have never received any cards, letters, etc..on any new channels, changes occurring and I have been a Comcast customer for 7 years! |

| reply to kinglou0 Yeah, know what you mean about the analog channels. I had a Comcast cable box on one of my TVs - was about to watch the end of the baseball game, and low and behold even that TV gave me a screen that said I needed a DTV converter box. Turns out the cable box was bad. Changed it out and it was fine but did miss the rest of the game. I don't understand what the big deal is. It's not like Maple Valley or Covington is out in the sticks but we have no real choices out here. |

| reply to SeattleAD I'm just on the border of Covington/Maple Valley and still don't have these new channels. This is after getting mailers from Comcast in March saying they were starting the switchover and a mailer in April saying that on the 17th all of their upgrades would be complete. I even hooked up a old CRT tv i have in the garage to see if the analogs were gone and they were. Everything from 30 up to 74 were out. I guess i'll keep waiting because i'm not getting 50meg FIOS out in this area anytime soon. Thanks Comcast! |
