@comcast.net | reply to Cruisezone Re: Comcast Seattle Adds 29 New HD Channels
Just got off the phone with a Comcast rep. She stated that the new channels should be rolled out to the Everett area by the end of January. Here's hoping sooner becuase I don't want to keep zooming in on SD LB of Nip/Tuck! |

| reply to tzs said by tzs :No Comedy Central? ...snip... Comedy Central HD was just introduced on January 13th. Systems of Cablevision (NY area) are the first to get it. Cox and DirecTV will start introducing it later this month.
They have very little native HD programming at present. Season 13 of SOUTH PARK (March 11th) will be HD, along with a few other programs (SARAH SILVERMAN,etc). THE DAILY SHOW and THE COLBERT REPORT are not produced in HD as yet. |

| Report from Lynnwood. The Alderwood Mall Kiosk has flyers with all the channels the OP listed but when I asked the rep when they would be turned on, he said "slowly, a couple channels at a time". I still have nothing on my boxes. Maybe it's tied to the digital move of channels 30-80 for Comcast. I got the letters for NTAs last week. |

| reply to Cruisezone I live in Seatac. I called Comcast and the rep said he lives in Everett and doesn't have the channels yet, but 8 blocks from him people have the channels. so I said when will we get the channels. he said Comcast doesn't have a time frame. they are still clearing bandwidth. i said well if it aint up by Feb I'm going to Direct TV. I pay to much money for the poor selection of HD provided. |

| Well said! I've been complaining for quite a while to Comcast and they must catch up to the satellite networks for dedicated HD channels (who really cares about having access to "1,000 HD Choices" at any given time?! Do people realize that many of these so-called HD choices are just a few minutes in length (i.e. previews, highlights, etc)!! |

False Advertising.
Both a flyer and my last bill said the channels would be available back in December. |

| reply to Cruisezone Has anyone gotten these channels yet? Here it is almost March and STILL nothing. I'd really love to have these in HD.
I'm out in Covington (near Kent) and I have 50 down / 10 up on my Internet (Extreme tier) yet still no HD channel upgrades. What gives??? |

@comcast.net | I am in zip code 98446 and I also don't have these channels yet. kinda ridiculous that we pay the same price as people that do get the channels, and if you call them about it, all they tell you is "you'll get them eventually". |

@comcast.net | reply to Cruisezone The additional HD channels are not false advertising.
They told me it is part of a stratified roll out of the channels to the whole washington market called HD Jumpstart. By then end of the year everybody will have them. |

| reply to Cruisezone I don't doubt they are coming, however; Comcast should do a MUCH better job informing people when and if new channels are coming. The only messages I ever get via my set-top box are for the same idiotic wrestling and boxing PPV events. There was never a head's up about their addition of MLB Network, and on and on....The only time I find out I have something new is scrolling the guide and seeing new channels that have suddenly popped up. |

1. I work in the Field in this Market.
2. New HD Channels as of today 2/28/2009 are Only available on Mercer Island part of the 860MHZ overlay project started in Jan.
3. We are getting ready for Phase 1 of 2 ADS Conversion, going to happen starting in March-August by NODE no schedule is written (Phase 1 all channels 30-99 switch to ADS, hence DTA Rollout.)
4. Phase 2 of 2 is scheduled for 2010. (Phase 2 all channels 2-29 switch to ADS.)
5. In between Phase 1 and 2 we will start adding channels, what channels and when we will have them will not be released.
All other questions relating to New HD Channels need to go to the call center.

| I live in Lynnwood/Edmunds, within a FIOS footprint, and I don't have the channels. The issue is that we see the flyers, at kiosks, yet get no information. I did get the ADS rollout notice and I've switched to DTAs. Hopefully, all this is sooner rather than later (unless I switch to FIOS). |

1. Cant agrue with that, but please get your facts right.
2. The 860 plant is available in spots across all of WA state, thus the additional channels are available in more places than just Mercer Island. I have them, and there were 2 more launched Monday - Nickelodeon HD (679) and Spike HD(659).
3. Nope, it is by Head-End
4. The channels should be available to all later this year.
Once we all get DTA's, the HD channels will be broadcasted to everybody because they will not have to broadcast the same channels 3x (SD, Analog and HD). Analog takes a lot of bandwidth... |
