Re: I'm on my third

Well, you know how these carriers are. They treat different customers differently, and reps have a lot of leeway to waive fees (it seems). I used to wiggle out of the AT&T upgrade fee by being nice to the rep (or hanging up and calling back to get one in a good mood), and asking them to look at my good billing history.

AT&T doesn't charge upgrade fees for "Premier" customers, either. Here's a tip: to get on Premier with AT&T if you're not employed by a big company, try signing up using your college alumni email address (or your friend's). AT&T is way nicer to Premier customers.

T-Mobile has always been really good to me, even when they can't help they at least give the appearance of trying.
