I just got my hands on the 160gb ps3 and compared it my 40gb ps3, and notice a few things. 1. the 160gb is lighter than the 40gb ps3, 2. the back is different in its layout and in the vents, 3. the 160gb says dts-hd while the 40 says dts srd, 4. the hard drive case is different.
Is there any known quality issues between the systems built last year and the ones being built now? I know sometimes latter production tends to drop off in quality, I remember when the blue game gear came out that it was much lower in quality than the original black version
