Re: [TWC] OMG I Feel so violated!

Time Warner has EVERY right to discontinue your service, if you are violating ANY of the Terms of Service.

If you are indeed downloading illegal material, and caught, then yes, they have every right to disable your service. Nothing you can do about it, except that you got caught.

You lose all rights and credibility if you downloaded illegal material and got caught.

What are you talking about? Are you the TOS Police? Do you work for RR? I wasn't "caught"?! In fact, who said anything about that? I am doing nothing illegal, and that was not the point. Why go off-topic? You obviously have some nefarious agenda and are due some extra attention.

Actually, since you brought it up... the opposite is in fact the case. What they did is illegal, and they will stop... hopefully before someone dies.

Whats with the hostility? Gezz. Some people need therapy more then others, I suppose.

There is really very little illegal material to download on the Internet. I've only found a couple of sites which had it; and they are long gone.

OTOH, there is a lot of illegal downloading of otherwise legal content. Make sure you state the facts as accurately as possible. Including an acknowledgement that, outside of a criminal court of law, you can't prove that somebody was doing something illegal on the basis of the evidence presented by a typical RIAA complaint. Inside that court, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Outside of that court, guilt is not the issue; just a tort.
