| [ps3] Hard drive upgrade?
For those of you that have upgraded your PS3 hard drives, is there a preferred drive? I know it has to be SATA and notebook, but other than that is there a brand that is favored?

|  I've used two different drives and they all worked great.
First I tried a 200GB 7200 RPM SATA notebook drive, which worked well, but made no real difference in performance. It is now on an external USB enclosure for backup.
I replaced it with a 320 GB drive, and now have a 320 GB drive in each of my active PS3's. One of them has over 100GB of stuff downloaded.
People seem to be buying 320GB and 500GB drives for their PS3's. I think either will take care of most needs until there is a PS4.
Installation of the new drives literally is a 2 minute procedure. If you have any concerns, there are great demonstrations of how to replace the PS3 drive on youtube.

clubs:   | This drive seems to be popular among PS3 users. I myself had bought the same drive and replaced my MGS4 PS3 80GB drive with the SAMSUNG M6 Series HM320JI 320GB. |
