| ATT , listen to your customers for once
as a bellsouth ATT customer for years living in a rural area I am so sick and tired of seeing all these new services, dsl, uverse going to the densly populated ares and the rural communities getting nothing , how about instead of sending me all that junk snail mail offering me dsl and u verse when you know it will never happen and spend that money and upgrade the infrastructure in the rural areas so we can also enjoy " high speed bandwith "
signed 50 miles from Nashville and cant get anything except ISDN , no 3g , no dsl and certainly not u verse |

| This is a joke. AT&T announced this same service in Atlanta several months ago. I still do not know of a single person that has it, nor a single person that can get it in their neighborhood.
I have BellSouth fiber running down my street, and I cannot get better than 1.5x256 broadband from AT&T. BTW, I live in one of the largest population counties in the state.
So, it ain't y'all backwoods rednecks that are not getting it. I'm still waiting on 3M service (no dreams or hopes or waiting for 6M, or U-verse), but I'll stop soon.
Hands down, the crappy cable operator is doing so much better job at delivering HD video, higher speed broadband, and digital voice--and I'm not even advocating them!
So, who is in a better position, you are me? |

@sbcglobal.net | I beat you both, I'm 1.5down/256up IN CHICAGO in 2008! I think the day I see higher speeds is the day the Cubs win, which may be NEVER! |

Hopefully the government will have a plan to subsidize deployment to people like you before too long that isn't riddled with the USF deficiencies. |

See you are not to far from Charlotte and Dickson you'll probably have to move there to get broadband. By the way verizon does offer 3G where you live. $60 for only a 5 GB monthly cap is not worth it to me though. |

| reply to GhostDoggy I've got it, and I'm just west of you in Alpharetta. Several people in my neighborhood have it and there are VRADs all around, including my parents' place in Dunwoody.
Hang in there. It's still a crapshoot, but it's coming. I've been very happy with it for the most part. |

They have been bugging me for 2 months and I had to run them off my property. U-verse sucks and their Sales Team Lie. They told me it was fiber to my home (I told them it was VDSL and they said it's not DSL its Fiber!, LOL) and that they already made a special connection to my house. LOL -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |
