Least got a notice for price increase. I wish I had a choice I would drop Comcast as fast as Bush and Cheney lies. Somebody needs to take Comcast to task. For the poor service nad the crap your receive from Comcast. I hope Qwest get their Hi speed service down here Las Cruces NM soon.

What a crap company.

Consider getting basic cable TV, even if you don't use it. Your price may not change much, or you could even get it to go DOWN. You are getting nailed with the increase because you do not have TV service.

I just got a letter that states that as of January 20th 2009
the price I pay for internet is going to go from $67.95 to $69.95 a month.

The rub is that I had the performance plus tier for years at my old house until last year for only $52.95 a month.

then I moved and they didn't transfer my account to the new house but instead made a new account stating that they had no way of billing me at my old rate at my new location.

In the end I had to have net access so I accepted that BS, but now they want more money and I'm not even getting boost.

It's only the 8mbps tier and no TV. I'm thinking of just calling up and canceling but I've had internet from them since they were ATT@home like 7 years ago.

Beyond that I need access to the internet for work and DSL seems too slow of a option since I commonly have 2 to 3 machines online at a time and If one person decides to fire up fancast I do not want to be limited if I have to upload images of data at the same time.

I briefly considered to drop down to the 6mbps teir but that is $59.95 so at the end of the day being that much over $50 a month is becoming real hard to justify.

What are my options?
