Not too impressed with the Tivo HD Quality

Sure it says "HD", but the netflix streamed HD videos aren't that great of quality. I didn't really see a difference between SD and "HD" streaming.

I havent seen the HD through this particular box...but i beg to differ on what i've seen on the xbox360....the HD, while not bluray or hddvd, was quite good and certainly better than SD...from what I saw. The big drawback i had was the amount of HD content that was available.

agreed, the HD is better than the SD on the 360 but they need more content!

I will agree that there is a large difference between HD and SD via the xbox.

One thing I will say, you have to get 3 bars during the BW test for the content to show "presented in HD". If you only get 2 (like I did before upgrading from a 4mb Comcast account) the quality is still SD and looks rather poor.

I'm not sure you've seen HD streaming then since the difference between SD and HD is night and day. Yes, it's no where near Blu-Ray quality, but with a 3800 kbps that's to be expected.

That said, the TiVo does have a tendency to lock up completely when streaming Netflix and many videos don't play back correctly (audio/video out of synch, stutter, etc).
