yah maybe they are 5 bux cheaper so what...
just wait til you gotta call them about something
be it tech or billing they are incredably
ineffeciant unknowledgable and actually
worthless...you gotta do things w/o their
support....they also bill for things you
never got or ordered....You nooBs get the service
without much prior experience and havnt even
been with att long yet you get all excited
and start rating just for its own sake.
oh but for the ol days of the net
when people posted only when they really had
something to contribute and knew what they were
talking about.

Eh? I have had AT&T/SBC/SNET (that is Southern New England Telephone) for over 7 years now...only the name has changed!

They have had some ups and downs, and yes, their tier 1 level support is about as bad as anyone else's...no worse, just as bad, however, they are not much different than cable or dsl service anywhere else that I have seen to date.

For what it is worth, I have had rock solid connectivity from day one. The outtages have been very, very rare, and have always been quickly rectified. I have never had any real billing issues...yes, a couple of miscues that I had to have corrected, but I must say that they have always been settled to my satisfaction.

No reason that anyone has to "like" AT&T DSL, but I sure am no "noob", and it works just fine for me!

Most of what I would like improvements on are about the same things that all the ISPs could do better with, IMHO.
