All My Newsgroups are Empty

I use Copper.net dial up for 3 reasons. Cheep, No special Applications, and Access to Newsgroups. The first 2 still goes, however, for over the past year, I have been unable to access any Newsgroups. From the most visited to the most obscure, every time I visited one all I get is a blank screen - no message. The problem seems to go back to September 2007 since messages from Newsgroups I visited before then are still in my cache file. I have tried to asked Copper.net what is wrong, but, there reply is that "they have no control over Newsgroups." Yet when I use IE6 to request what newsgroups are available on Cooper.net, I get a list with over 30000 sites. In the past I have use Yahoo Newsgroups, but, they censor what you can view (especially binary). So, in the end what I want to know is: Are my problems related to Copper.net, Internet Explorer 6, or to Newsgroups themselves?
