When it costs only $5-$10 per month (via this extortion "licensing" fee) to download all of the movies you might want to see, then who'd need to bother with premium movie channels or pay-per-view? |

| If the **AA's do get their way and are able to line to pockets of enough politicians to get the "tax" idea to pass, does this legally mean that people can download all the movies and music they want? Or you you think there will be some sort of "fine print"? |

| reply to kherr My first response to an extortion fee imposed by the MAFIAAs is to drop broadband altogether... do I really need it (as opposed to the free access I can get--at the moment--elsewhere)? I've never downloaded music or movies in any way, shape, or form; so I have no desire to feed their protection racket. "We the people" may get to the point that we force copyright laws (among other things) get changed back to what they used to be: reasonable; and as corrupt as Congress is (lobbyists can buy anything they want) this may be a worthwhile impetus. Their greed may be their ultimate undoing. (Yep... it's a nice dream. ) |
