So you'll get there, you just have to be patient. They're still working on the local infrastructure. Your best bet is to look for signs of fiber going up on the poles around your area. One of the first things you'll see are large spools on trailers. First they'll put it in place, then connect them together. If you look at the marks on the cable, "Corning" is a keyword for fiber. My neighborhood was finish wired in April and I could order in November. Others have said their spread was quicker at 3 months.
I think you answered your question in an earlier post. You heard internet in summer '09, and TV 8 mos. later. Remember that goals are flexible, so this economy may make some target dates slip a little.

kudos:5 | Remember that it's still summer until September 21. Look for the fiber going up on the poles. Take a picture and post it here for verification. They probably won't do anything now for a couple of months outside until the weather gets better. Snow on the ground kills a lot of outdoor work. |

| yep summer 21 but as fast as the last few years have been it will be here before you know it. Days fly by around here so it will get here i will be watching out for the spools and connecting them and will take pics and submit to my thread for verification
