No they don't... not explicitly, at least. Is it misleading? Maybe... but unless they say it outright, legally they aren't doing anything wrong. That's why they have something called a COVERAGE MAP on their site. You'd have to be extremely stupid, or outright naive, to buy a WIRELESS service and expect it to work EVERYWHERE. BTW, in case you yourself were actually believing ATT's ads, you should take the time to go to their site and actually check their coverage before buying: »www.wireless.att.com/coveragevie···toaction

| Big difference between "stating" and "IMPLYING". A lot of ads imply a lot of things. Doesn't necessarily mean false advertising. Just misleading. Besides, my phone doesn't work (or at least, has a chance of not working) in a LOT of places other than a farm in Vermont. It doesn't work in the subway, for instance. Neither does it work in the basement of my house. Doesn't mean I can take AT&T to small claims court for false advertising. If you take a long hard look at their commercials, you'll see that they even put that in fine print. If you didn't read that fine print before buying service, tough luck. And no one's forcing you to keep service. That's why it's called a 30-day return policy. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Return the damn phone and continue with life.... |
