Re: U-verse or stay with AT&T Pro DSL & Dish network

'I told the guy I have 3000 down and he was telling me yes ,but that's kilo bits and what he has is megabytes down with the AT&T u-verse Elite.'

That is so awfully awfully awful. Of course it's 3000Kbps. Under Uverse it would also be 3000Kbps or 3Mbps. It's the same notation though in differing significant digits.

The difference would be one of stability and number of feeds. Uverse can take (or should be able to) high winds and less weather related issues. Though you'll only get at most 2 HD feeds or 4 feeds total.

And this scared the heck out of me when I was deciding wether to order U-Verse or not. Now that I have it the 2HD/2SD is just fine. I find the SD quality of UV to be so much better than my previous provider (Comcast) I set up most/all of my automatic recordings in SD and have never had an issue with using up all of the streams. That said, I am a two person home (empty nester) but fairly often more than one TV are in use. I've had UV for about 6 weeks now and both the wife and I really like it. The fact I'm saving $50/mo over Comcast doesn't hurt either.
