Re: Do nothing Congress

"Obama isn't president yet. And quite frankly, whatever he decides to do won't even START to take effect till 2010 (IF he gets laws passed in 2009), so we really won't be able to start blaming him for anything just yet."

OK, so with that said, are you ready to "man up" and admit the policies of the Clinton administration were responsible for the lapses that led to 9-11?

I whole hearted agree with what you said. For pretty much all of 2010 we are still working off, for all intents and purposes the "Bush" years.

But still, most of my left of center friends blame Bush for the 9-11 attacks.....

Why wouldn't I be ready to agree with that? Everyone with some sort of brain knows that the Clinton administration could have done a LOT more to keep track of Bin Laden and his intentions.

But rather then blaming both the Clinton and Bush administrations, the real fault lies with the CIA and FBI, who dropped the ball more then once keeping track of the hijackers.

They had the 20th hijacker in custody before 9/11 for God's sake, and they STILL weren't able to connect the dots.

Last but not least, anyone who believes that one party is always right, and the other is always wrong, has the brain of a nitwit, and an easy task come next election, just fill all the boxes of your party and go home.

I tend to THINK who I vote for and usually end up voting for both republicans and democrats, because I read up on them instead of siding with one party.
