KrK : Utopia is similar, but far from the best case scenario, from what I've come to believe. Firstly, apparently the infrastructure isn't open to all service providers, you have a select few to choose from, and their offers seem somewhat limited. Secondly you have the incumbents, instead of providing services over the network, are in competition with it using their own networks and pricing to try and kill the model.

I'm thinking of a first rate, expansive and powerful FTTH network that is offered to service providers for them to host their own services on. For example you could have independent ISP's, or big companies like Cox and AT&T and Dish Network etc all available over the network to the homes and businesses. Plus regular guys like you and me could establish our own on line businesses on it, etc.

Basically open to all who pay the same level of access fees.
--
"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini
