[T-Mobile] Sony TM506 + 3G internet is FRICKEN SWEET

To sum it up:

It's like I-5 with nobody on it. I've been downloading stuff at 60-70KB/sec solid, and speed testing ~600-800/80-200..

The only downside is that (just like every other 3G net it seems), the towers are a bit sparse and at home, I have to tell my phone to use the 3G tower or it'll default to 2G.

Still, pretty damn sweet I've been using it for a day and a half now and have nothing more to say than I LOVE IT.

Too bad their 3G is harder to find than a vegan at a bbq They don't even have service up here (well, native anyway, they roam on AT&T up here), but I have 3G from both AT&T and Verizon. T-Mobile is a good company though, congrats on the 3G and Samsung fun!

I hope they bring 3G to Santa Rosa soon!

My only problem is the network here in Vegas seems to be coming off as something from out east, DSLReports indicates the closest test server is in NYC, and speedtest.net in OH.

It's not that your network is coming from the east, it's that the ip address info says it's from the east. As far as i know, the 3g ip addresses (and possibly 2g) all show the info as being from the east. (Or somewhere.) That happens occasionally on dsl/cable modems too when a provider gets some new ip addresses. (Mediacom got some 173.x.x.x ip addresses and they where previously used in europe. When people went to google, they got redirected to google.co.uk and various other country sites until the info was updated.)
