Doctor Olds, thanks for your reply. What's odd is that I already have a #1 profile defined. Is the per= line hex for permissions, and 0xFFFFFFFF indicates no restrictions?

Please read the entire thread linked previously as you are skipping/missing important details.....

There are three hidden profiles numbered 0, 1, and 2.

It should be mentioned that upro#1 is unrelated to user profile #1 that can be modified from the web GUI.

Hi

Yes the 0XFFFFFFFF grants full permissions to the router for whichever profile it's set for. The best way is to set this per for upro#0 (admin), then you will be able to use the same username and password to log into both the router interface and the FTP/telnet interfaces.

Using upro#1 isn't necessary.
