That should be the standard. Nothing Less, possibly more.

I think most infrastructure can handle this.

This standard (5mbps/5mbps) is way too low to compete in the digital marketplace. As I stated in a previous post, one gigabit in both directions should be the very minimum definition of broadband. With this kind of speed, Hollywood could revolutionise its distribution system, gaming could be turned on its head, cable and telco providers could blow away the competition etc...
