| IP Accounting: On Everyone, All the time I can only imagine what its costing them in processing power on the edge device for them to monitor and track every single MAC address out there. That alone has got to impact their edge routers.
And since they are upset with people on DOCSIS 2.0 using their minimal paid-for service then this will only accerate their position of terminating services for those that get upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0.
But I understand their need, and it has nothing to do with P2P. Its all about protecting their video market. If everyone streams their video (e.g. Vudu, Netflix) then why buy Comcast video service? |
