First off, it's not about what's on Television.. it's about law. It's about accountability of our government. And, when it comes to government - it's not THEY vs US.. it has to do with the people WE people chose to put IN that body of people who make these laws.

Which is exactly why I have not bothered about looking into DTV yet. I will put it on my priority list in a week or so.

Currently we have basic cable without any cable boxes and I have not looked into what will happen or what we need to do on the February date. All I know is that it is bound to cost me more money.
The cable system even for basic cable is a closed system so the channels and how they are transmitted for even basic cable won't change, it's only for over the air reception. Digital transition affects over the air TV broadcast. It has no affect on Cable and Satellite providers.
