| They hardly gave out any Everyone I know who applied for a coupon never received one. When they asked, they were denied for one reason or another and told to appeal. Once they appealed, they were approved, but never received their coupon. Where did all the money go? |

 | Who has actually gotten any coupons? I went to the web site twice, filled out the forms, eventually got to a page that said a coupon was being mailed. Never got one. |

Have you tried going back? If the system thinks you have already ordered coupons it will not let you request them again.
I requested two coupons. Received confirmation and estimated mail date. Coupons arrived a few days before the date.
When I went to local BestBuy there were several other folks redeeming coupons. So at least some have gone out.

Never got one. I applied around the end of November, got an estimated mail date of 12/12, then received them a week or 2 later with an expiration of 3/11/09.
Now the question is what's the best box to get? Are there any that are hackable to add additional features (coaxial or optical digital out, HD and/or QAM, component or HDMI, stuff that actually was on the chipset but disabled?)
I truthfully answered that I have cable, but have at least one TV not connected to cable. (Besides, in a year or two most cable companies will drop analog and it becomes the same situation for TVs still working - including TVs that were purchased new in early 2007 before the "analog only" warning stickers were required, and of which you can reasonably expect a working life of more than a few years) and got no rejection. |

Since you are on cable most important attributes for converter box is QAM support and analog passthrough.

I actually did get my coupon cards shortly after applying back in June. Everyone else I know did as well. |

So did some relatives, however, I do know people who applied about a month after me who haven't gotten anything. I bet it has something to do with living in an apartment and having a PO box - the program supposedly limits to two per address... |
