 | Comcast needs to get on the ball too A few weeks ago, all of our local TV stations collaborated on a project to shut off their analog signals. This was supposed to alert the viewers that they would lose their TV signals on February 17th if they hadn't gone digital yet. Guess what? Local Comcast subscribers also found out that even the cable company is pulling the analog feed for one of our local TV stations. If Comcast doesn't act quickly, they'll be caught with their pants down!!
On another note, I don't think the government is giving enough time to redeem the digital converter coupons. By the time you actually receive the coupons, you only have about 1-1/2 months to use them. I urged my parents to get their coupons even though they have DirecTV on all their sets. Well, they forgot to use their coupons before the expiration, and they were S.O.L. Now they have to use one of MY converter boxes, which has come in handy when my cable goes out. |
