Jan Janowski : In alll honesty... Don't know if this should be in Software, Linksys, or Security forum.... I felt I'd have best chance here, though....

I've a Garmin GPS, Nuvi 660, and I'm finding my new router: Liksys RVS4000 is blocking the Garmin GPS Updater program from working correctly... It will download 50% of the new firmware, then freeze. By "Non-Blocking" all of the following, I find I can update the firmware... But I'd like to narrow down what was causing the blocking in the router..

Symptom: Firmware will not download past 50% using Garmin GPS Firmware Updater with the following blocked (except Skype, which is not blocked).
Solution: Non Block each of the following:

Linksys RVS4000 in the IPS area:
GNUTELLA_EZPEER Block
FASTTRACK Block
KURO Block
EDONKEY2000 Block
BITTORRENT Block
DIRECTCONNECT Block
PIGO Block
WINMX Block

This section of the IPS tab allows the network's administrator to manage specific IM/P2P functions for access.

Instant Messenger MSN Block
ICQ Block
YAHOO_MESSENGER Block
SKYPE Non-Block
IRC Block
ODIGO Block
REDIFF Block
GOOGLE_TALK Block
IM_QQ Block

Any ideas which would be the culpret? I won't be able to test again until the next firmware version.... which is months away. So I've email'd Garmin, and posted here...
Thanks...

P.S. I was going from V4.6 to V4.7 in the Nuvi 660
--
Looking for 1939 Indian Motocycle
