Re: Router setup problem They still need an IP address to communicate on the LAN. It can be a private IP address. And the computers are probably setup to expect to acquire an IP address using DHCP.
You don't need to run a DHCP server on every computer. You just need something on the LAN that is running a DHCP server. Your second router will do that.
