Re: Not a lot of action here... Made a trip to Galveston yesterday. First time since Ike. I was amazed at how much is still left to do. I've seen the pictures and video on the TV of course but it really doesn't sink in until you see it in person. There is still so much debris everywhere, vehicles, boats etc. I was truly awestruck by what I saw. -- Multitasking = screwing up several things at once. |

It was horrible how much stuff was piled at the end of the streets and when you go down 61st street there is a boat pained with "Please let us go home" and another one with "Kill looters" I visited again this December and its looking better but there is just so much to do still. -- Team Discovery-Join the fight |

Working in the HVAC business there, I've been all over Galveston, from one end of the island to the other. I lived there my whole life, until two and a half years ago when we moved to the mainland. It's a hell of a lot better than it was, but the old girl has taken a beating and she shows it. |
