I remove dust from fan blades with a q-tip, the dust loves them. |

| reply to kirby22172 First - you need to set the PC NOT to restart on errors so you can see the BSOD you are likely getting.
Second - write any and all info on any BSOD and go to the MS forum to try and determine the cause.
Have you tried NOT enabling Lightscribe? -- Brian

| reply to kirby22172 over heating often causes restarts. Open case and remove dust bunnies, make sure all fans are working, mine started doing that when my burner was on it's way out it would get very hot and cause over heating. -- Registered Linux user:476595 |

| reply to kirby22172 look at Event Viewer -- part of Windows OS (in XP, I get there from Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer.) Then click on the "System" option -- look for the time of day that the system restarted, and look for the errors which caused the shutdown. This will lead you (or a qualified tech) to the component or issue causing the crashing. Also, clean the dust bunnies. |
