Here are triple play survey results:

Strange that Verizon Fios was rated 1st by READER SURVEY, but also rated so bad in every category of service and fees. |

Historically (since GTE went to national management, Ca. 1998) Verizon has been the most expensive phone company, whether wired or wireless, but has delivered better service than its "competitors".
Today, we can get Fios, which is BAR NONE the highest quality broadband available, while the best the others can offer is about 15/2, on a shared cable. But 50/20 costs $150 a month, since no one else can touch it.
Verizon took the Powell Fiber Monopoly Grant and ran with it, like a "Greedy" telephone would be expected to. AT&T went conservative and decided profit margins were better milking the copper. ("We're the phone company, we don't care - we don't have to!"). The result is an inferior offering, with the illusion of a slightly better price. |

| reply to GOLFnSUN Why so strange? Fiber is reliable. Verizon's management is not.
In point (while I rant) explain why a communication company as big as Verizon, that has services that run 24/7 (phone, cell, internet, TV) can't support those services with 24/7 customer support (8-5pm? wtf!) Can't actually have billing that makes sense? Can't understand that the minus sign is not the plus sign (I suspect Verizon's programmer is a control freak. And one, greedy, snotty, overweight, programmer) -- Weeeeeeee! |
