I wonder what happened to the announcement of 30 new HD channels by the end of 2008 (we only get 3?)
In the Medicom 208 Q1 Conf. Call they stated »seekingalpha.com/article/79476-m···?page=-1 "John talked about the free HD. We are pushing that number up to 25 channels"
I only come up with 25 total - 7 premium = 18 free HD channels
We are starting Q1 2009 and still haven't gotten to the 2008 25 free HD channel count yet. |

| I hear you, my thoughts exactly although here in central mn we have had most of those channels for quite some time now. I think I had them around the beginning of september. And nothing new since. Last time i asked mediacom they said I had to wait till the digital transition for anything new. We will see! |

today here in central mn I looked at my guide and it is showing 857, 858, 860 and 861. Looks like I might be getting some new hd channels here. I am guessing from looking at another post on this site that these channels might be speed, fx, hgtv, and food.. we will see.. |

I think Giada is way hot, but of all the channels I would like in HD, FOOD is one of the last...

i got a message from my box today.. on or around june 1st 4 new hd channels.. 825 wgn hd, which I already have had for a long time, 842 discovery hd, 843 tlc hd and 844 animal planet hd. so looks like three new ones on the horizon. not my favorite channels but channels none the less. |

Fox news in HD? now that's a great channel to have in HD.
Who on earth needs to see the news in HD?

Alexandria, VA | So NFL and ESPN2 are worth having in HD...let alone at all? Obviously the quality of HD programming is relative to the person watching. Personally I'd take Fox News HD over all of the channels you listed put together, with exception of A&E. |

News channels look great in HD! CNNHD always has a lot of neat sidebar gadgets in the extra screen space and sometimes they are really interesting. Some people think it's a little too busy and I can understand that but I don't mind it. I actually like it. |
