Deep Packet Inspection coming

Okay, so you can jailbreak and run PdaNet or the like, but when will ATT start DPI to determine if you tether - I mean all it takes is ATT seeing browser types as IE or Firefox to realize that you're not using Safari.. then wham! you've got your $30 extra charge.

Tethering would be a great tool for me in the field, but not for an extra $30/mo... This is my only hesitation

I could be faking my browser agent on my iphone also... I would look more at specific port usage, I'm sure that would raise more flags... I'd like to think as long as you stayed to port 80/web usage you'd be fine, its easy to change/fake your browser agent if/when they start doing this to make it look like you're still coming from your iphone
