How does Symantec Endpoint 11 compared to Norton 2009?

My company is offering Symantec Endpoint 11 as a AV solution, I know that it's a network centrinc AV but it can be ran in managed client mode.
However, I heard some really good things about Norton 2009.
Now is Symantec Endpoint 11 engine the same as Norton 2009 engine in terms of resource utilization, system responsivness and malware detection?

Is Endpoint 11 better choice then SAV Client 10?
