[FireFox] Disable accept cookies w/ CookieSafe?

I guess I never quite understood this. When I use CS lite, should I have Accept cookies /Third party cookies disabled in Firefox options? Does it matter one way or the other? Doesn't CS lite intercept cookies before Firefox sees them?

EDIT:
»forum.softwareblaze.com/viewtopic.php?t=316
"The CookieSafe extension builds upon your browser's built-in permission manager to control which websites have permission to set cookies. Many of the features included in CookieSafe can also be accessed from your browser's options window. The extension simply provides an easier way to access many of those features.

By disabling Allow cookies/Third party cookies I'm disabling cookies globally which is what I prefer despite the occasional weird behavior on some pages. CS Lite will allow cookies for specific pages that I set. I think I get it now. Thanks.
