Speeding up deployment is not an option these days due to the fact that Verizon is under the thumb of the stockholder.
What about all the money they got from Pennsylvania taxpayers ?

They're still a publicly traded company and have to provide a good ROI, otherwise their shares will be toast.

 That's nice ... that always comes up about PA ... and they(PA) got ripped off...but we must move on at some point. Did the report say that 30-50% off subs loss from DSL actually went to FiOS. I think everyone would like advanced services.

PS No FiOS here
or the aforementioned PA fiber deployment
