Does the top come off that Blazer to go topless like the Bronco? It looks like you've put a lot into it..how many miles?

Looks real good...How is it off-road the way you have it set up? Just by looking at the picture and not knowing anything about it it seems to me a nice daily driver as well as a very capable off-road vehicle.
The top will come off but I have never taken it off, I always hear once you break the seal it will leak. Some day I might get a soft top for it though, shame only the back half comes off.

I bought the truck from a good friend in 94 I think, he didn't put many miles on it, and now it only has just over 100k. It was my only vehicle till I got the I30 so I didn't 4 wheel it much for fear of breaking something,,lol. It has 4 inch suspension lift with 35" tires. Stock engine with headers and true dual exhaust. 4.10 gears and convert to manual hubs. I had it painted maybe 10 years ago. It also been sitting for 5 years as I been slowly fixing things wrong with it and couldn't afford 2 cars on the road at once. It will be on road soon though hopefully.

Thanks and what color is it now as I can't tell with my eyes..looks to me two tone with maroon? I really like the design of those older Blazers. Especially the front/grill area.

I not sure of the color name, I call it wine red. I saw it on a customized short bed chevy once and thought it was a nice color. All I know is its a Lexus color I saw in a chip book that was as close to picture that I saw. The original paint was peeling off like lots of chevys of the era.

I also am a big fan of the Chevy trucks up until 92'. Always wanted one when i was a kid growing up, lifeted and all that. Thats why I can't sell it,,lol. Been offered by some to buy it a few times cause not many around here anymore.

I live in California and was making a "California stop".
On the police pic it says I was traveling 16mph while making the right turn. Ticket cost me $367.

Here's a crappy shot of my newest:

It's a 2009 Sentra SE-R Spec V, and I love it to bits. It feeds on 92 octane, and loves to go faster than it should. It's favorite drive is from home (Victoria) to Port Renfrew, since it's close to home.

For anyone who cares to see, check the road out, it's a very very good and challenging drive. If you zoom in enough you can see there are many many many turns, and lots of good short straights on this drive.

The car itself has the added sport pack, which of course comes with a very well spaced 6 speed manual. Car grips like not many FWD cars do due to the helical LSD. Power plant is a 2.5 liter 4 cyl making 200hp and 180lb-ft torque.

Mine is a 1982 Virago 920 with single carb conversion, and twin exhaust down one side. I also added a windscreen, and back rest.

I like it. I road in a non hybrid version of that car (same color even), and it was not bad. Comments on the ride feel with the different powerplant?

Not the best interior design. They could have lifted the CD Player a bit so that everything else could go up. Otherwise you're looking down and bending your head trying to find the lower buttons. But hey what do you expect.

Thanks!

One note about the color, it looks black, but it's really green. You can really only see the green in the sun. It's a really nice color -- at least I like it.

It drives really well and similar to the ICE version; it's actually quite peppy and fun to drive. The better comparison is to our 2005 Escape hybrid (the first year Ford made a hybrid). Ford made a lot of improvements to the hybrid system.

Our Escape always fires up the ICE when you start it and it will shut off when the engine warms up. The Fusion starts in electric mode (no engine starting) and that takes a bit to get used to. My guess is that the ICE will start right away in the winter. I'll find out in a few months.

The Fusion transition from ICE to EV and back is smoother than our Escape. In addition, the Fusion can do 45 mph in EV mode, while the Escape will do a bit over 30.

The Escape requires the ICE to be running for AC, the Fusion has an electric air conditioner. Kind of a double edge sword if you're trying to really max the MPG, but overall, I like the electric AC better.

And I guess it's to be expected as the Escape is a SUV, but the Fusion is much smoother and quieter as far as driving goes.

Ford made a lot of improvements their hybrid system over the past five years and it really shows.

So far the Escape has been getting 30-33 MPG city and the Fusion was doing 42.5 MPG city the last time I drove it.

I'm really happy with the car. I love the Sync and the LCD instrument cluster. Of course, I only have 200 miles on it so time will tell!

The interior design is fine. I'm 6'7" so I look down on everything which is why it may look low to you. I find it best to use the steering wheel controls or tell Sync what to do.

My New 20 Year-Old Car

Those of you who are familiar with my previous postings know I like older style ( 80's ) Lincoln Town Cars. I have a 1986 using as a daily driver and I have a 1981 that is not on the road yet and I'm working on it when time allows and I am always on the look out for older excellent condition Town Cars.

Well I just purchased another one..A MINT 1989 Town Car..the 89 was the last year before they changed the design starting with the 90 model year.

This was quite a find..The original owner purchased the car new here on Long Island in 1989 and kept it garaged and hardly used it. She passed away and her family would back the car out of the garage to wash it and then put it back in. A guy purchased it from the family last December and he is like myself, an older vehicle auto enthusiast, so I purchased it from him and closed the deal this past Wednesday night..I registered it and put plates on it yesterday and it drives like new...

62k original miles, original paint, everything works..all the bells and whistles work, cold A/C. engine and tranny are perfect, blue leather interior is mint as well as the trunk.

The only thing the guy I bought it from did was install an aftermarket stereo but I have the original that came with the car as well as all manuals, paper work and even the window sticker. The background checks on the car all came up clean as expected....

After serious week long negotiations I purchased it for the sum of $3k even....A steal IMO for such a beautiful Town Car in mint condition. No leaks...no issues..

Here are some photos I just took of it.
