Not horrible...

VPN4Life quickly refunded me when I asked, and even said in their "software delivery" email that refunds could be processed simply by replying to the software delivery email.

Also, the site is pretty basic. No malware that I can tell, but quite scammy.

Personally, I wish there was a VPN where you could buy GBs of bandwidth for a set price, then use them whenever. Maybe 25 cents per GB if you buy $10 worth, 20 if you buy $20, 10 if you buy $50. Cogent network would be fine

Pay double for an internet connection?
Its called HTTPS, or wait everyone complains about MITM attacks (even though that really couldn't happen in a VPN scenario). So you would pay lets say $10/5GBs from your ISP and $1/GB from VPN R' Us? Looks like these costs will build up pretty quickly if you ask me.

I'm not paying $2 per GB to my ISP, more like 25 cents per GB. And if my traffic is valuable enough to be routed over a VPN, sure I'll pay a little extra change to do so. Intertubes cost money, yaknow?

Isn't this like putting a straw inside a straw? This will still likely count against your ISP's cap if they have one.

Absolutely. But it resolves the ACK-limiter problem.

agreed, I use them and it's only about $65/yr to renew. Although if you do renew your service I would suggest you use IE for the transaction or have a really good translator for firefox.

Had I used IE I probably would not have struggled near as much to get the renewal done.
