The DISH one sounds interesting. Hopefully AT&T does some thing U-Verse along those lines. |

It should work on all phones with the ability to access the internet, but they cornered themselves with proprietary software that takes way too much time to test and implement on each device.
They charge an extra $4 over a standard DVR. ($19.99 vs. $15.99) The Home Media DVR allows you to stream media from your PC to your TV along with some other features, such as playing back recorded shows on multiple TV's from one location. So the price increase is integrated into other services.
Still, the whole thing is poorly implemented. I should, and would like to program my DVR from any device with access to the internet, but I don't need the other features. |

It is free but the Home DVR is what you are paying for.

It amazes me that with how much Verizon has put into Fios that it lacks some basic things that Dish, Direct and U-Verse can do. |
