The HDMI interface blows goats, almost daily I have to power cycle the HD DVR. Customer support recommends using component video, but this unhappy customer recommends they fix the interface and follow the HDMI standard before my departure to some other provider becomes the preferred solution. I have both connected and the HDMI, when working, sounds better than the other option.

I had FIOS installed two weeks ago and I can run HDMI without any problem. I'm not home so I don't know what version I am running. The installer did say that now they are recommending HDMI over component.
