How good is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM)

Hi,

I am looking for a second opinion about MBAM;I was able to disable real time protection just deleting the serial from registry (HKLM/Software/MBAM); I assume that can be done also by a malware.
MBAM forum experts told me that is not a big deal but if an anti-malware software cannot protect itself from being deactivated how reliable can be????

Thanks,
Claudiu

It is not a big deal. Imagine you are malware allowed to do whatever you want on the computer the scope of it only limited by your knowledge. No software would stand a chance. Don't allow it.

i, myself, don't think it is important that security-programs have self-protection, but that is just my opinion.. if security-programs do have self-protection, if possible, i disable it.. then again, i use "system safety monitor", which protects everything, so i wouldn't need for a program to protect itself..
